Officers arrived at about 9:15 p.m. Friday to find a man suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim, who is known to police, was transported to hospital reportedly in serious condition.
Coquitlam RCMP were on scene late Friday night investigating a shooting in the 1000-block of Austin Avenue.

In a release, Coquitlam Staff Sgt. Paul Vadik said that RCMP suspect the shooting was targeted. Suspects in the shooting have not been located and it is unclear if the shooting is related to Lower Mainland gang conflict.
